Electrified TAURUS with hybrid power
So what is hybrid technology?
Harnessing the powers of internal combustion and electricity, hybrid technology combines the best of both worlds. Just like conventional vehicles, hybrid ones have an internal combustion engine that runs on gasoline or diesel alongside an electric motor that gets power from a battery pack and can store energy during braking or deceleration and use it to recharge the battery.
How does it work?
The engine and electric motor work together or independently, depending on the driving conditions. For instance, during stop-and-go traffic, the electric motor takes over, resulting in zero emissions and reduced noise. When more power is needed, such as during high-speed driving or climbing steep hills, the engine kicks in to provide additional power.
Why would you choose it?
Hybrid technology significantly reduces fuel consumption and emissions. By combining an internal combustion engine with an electric motor, hybrid vehicles can drive further using less fuel and with less harmful emissions. Not only that but you will also save money on fuel costs all while saving the planet.
